I call it how I see it: August 27, 1987- Boogie Down Productions' DJ/co-founder Scott LaRock shot to death while breaking up a fight, involving a young D-Nice. November 30, 1995- Live Squad member Fly Ty Stretch Killed in drive-by shooting, exactly one year after his former roommate Tupac Shakur's 1st shooting incident. September 13, 1996- Multiplatinum artist/visionary 2Pac dies of cardiac arrest, resulting from drive-by shooting 6 days prior. March 9, 1997- Junior Mafia founder Notorious B.I.G. shot multiple times at stop-light in Los Angeles; dies instantly. February 15, 1999- Diggin In The Crates legend Big L shot and killed on the same street his brother was murdered shortly after. March 28, 1999- Lost Boyz hypeman Freaky Tah fatally shot in the head while leaving Mr. Cheeks' birthday celebration. October 30, 2002- Run DMC DJ/pioneer Jam Master Jay slain in recording studio while crafting material for upcoming artists. November 26, 2003- New Orleans MC Soulja Slim, originally Magnolia Slim, shot dead in front of mother's house, on his way to a performance. April 11, 2006- D-12 co-founder Proof killed in argument at an afterhours club. May 1, 2006- Screwed Up Click's H.A.W.K. murdered while walking from car to visit friend.
