SUDDEN SHIFT: the tape

Continuing on with the "Heist 185 presents" series, "SUDDEN SHIFT mixed by Jaekim (Stack Cache)" proceeds with this next-level musical trip. This mixtape, originally unveiled July 2005, caught instant buzz in the streets of the H. It's genre-blending tracklisting ended up opening alot of doors for the now founders of Heist 185 and Stack Cache. This one, I felt, was among the first to capture the essence of what Stack Cache is all about. All types of slept-on treasures from the likes of Kamaal The Abstract (b.k.a. Q-Tip), the now defunct Out Hud, Juggaknots, Metro Area, and Houston area supergroup Ethos, and a host of many others. Stay tuned, another installment is coming your way soon! Later this week, ya boy's got the goods, y'all dont want nuthin of it! A STACK CACHE Radio exclusive you won't want to miss out on (hint, hint: His TV series' show title pays homage to a famous "Mars Blackmon" quote from the late '80s).
